How do you see the internet usage of the hardcore szene?
Internet might be the blessing for alot of people, coz you can spread all your news and plans to several people, especially nice for labels,bands and individuals who are active in the scene and wanna reach alot of people, good to do interviews like were doing right now..the darker side of the whole internet thing is, that it pushes alot of personal contact into just mailing and chatting, also that it can be used for insulting and talking shit about people, messageboards are good examples, where people hide behind fake-names and acting like little children..there's alot of informative stuff to find on the net, but also alot of porn, child-abuse, racist shit that can be easely found...
Do you prefer reading a webzine or a printed fanzine where you have something to hold in your hand?
Nothing matches to the real paper magazine, a webzine is the sign of the modern
times, and it can be handy, but i prefer a real zine.
You have certainly seen that there has been tons of shittalking on liar in our discussionboard. Would you like to give a comment to the people calling liar pro life nazis or too conservative for being a hardcore band?

I think that "Liar's Hell" is, in comparison to the earlier Liar releases, the most diverse record. How did you write this record?
This is the first record we did without Josh, the main songwriter of the other records we've done..we're personally very happy with the results and it is a diverse record that has alot of new elements we never tried before, it was alot of fun to do this one..we are working on new stuff allready..watch out for it!
How did you get in contact with Chad Michael Ward? Do you like the Marilyn Manson CD artworks? What do you think of M. Manson?
We checked different artists this time,and Chad was doing the stuff we were
looking for..apocalyptic and dark, moody stuff, artwork that would fit with the new songs and the whole concept of 'Liar's Hell'..The M.M artwork is gorgeous, i think the music isn't that good, but the artwork definitely rules.
You wanted to do a tour in Australia but cancelled the tour because of some
bullshit by the band downset, could you please explain what happened?
Yeah..that was pretty fucked-up for us, we were working on it for almost a year or so, and then the whole plan shattered in our faces, because some major-labels decided to boycott the clubs that had other shows going-on at the same time Downset was in the country, it's maybe not directly to blame that band, but for sure the whole corporate rock business that stinks and the proof that it's all about power and big bucks.
What do you expect from the upcoming tour with Copykill?
I think it's gonna be pretty good..we think it's an awesome band that has alot of potential and they play heavy and mean stuff we all pretty much like. We don't know all the people in the band, but the tour will be a good chance to know 'em.
Have there been other bands discussed for touring with Liar or was it clear from the beginning that you'd tour with Copykill?
That decision was made for a pretty long time now, they were the first choice,from even when we made the move to Alveran.
Are there already details about the US and Japan tours?
The Japan thing would have been this year as well, but we decided that the interest in the band wasn't good enough to try it out yet, we might play there later on, a U.S tour will be done for sure after we are doing something on a U.S label at the end of the year, you will hear more about this later on, when the whole deal is done.
What are your current favorite non hardcore CDs?
Every-one in the band has their favorites..THE HAUNTED,QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE,PRO-PAIN,RUSH..and many more.
What was the idea for the "Fiend Club" on your website?
Were still working on a good and solid concept for this 'fiend club', it's enspired by the allmighty Misfits of course, but also from old horror stuff, they made special items that can be requested if you're a member of the fiend club,making a special piece of merchandise or making a fanzine that is for members only is a funny and enjoyable thing to do..we have some plans..we really wanna make something unique, the first thing available might be a screenprinted black Liar coffee mug, ltd to 50 or so..check our website now and then..and become a member!
What is your opinion on hacking in the orignial idea (that all information on this planet should be free to everybody)?
For alot of people it might be fun to do,but from the moment some-one will be hacking their site and source of personal information, they will be pissed-off..i don't think there should be something like the fact that all info should be free for everybody, there's a strict and personal code for me on the fact that my privacy is holy to me..every individual on this globe has the right to his/her privacy, and no-one has the right to break this code..
