Bad Religion haben in einem Interview diverse Neuigkeiten bezüglich ihres am 10.07.2007 erscheinenden neuen Albums "New Maps of Hell" verlauten lassen. Neben einer dürftigen Erklärung, warum sich die Arbeiten an dem Album so verzögern ("We're getting older."), hat Brett Gurewitz noch ein paar News bezüglich des Sounds des Albums vom Stapel gelassen:
"There have been certain records where I attempted to make a technically precise recording. This time, I really wanted to capture a sense of broad urgency and excitement. It sounds more reckless -- really raw and aggressive. I'm really proud of the sound."
Des weiteren hat Sänger Greg Graffin über den Werdegang von BAD RELIGION philosophiert und die Sorgen einer so bekannten Band betont:
"The truth is that when you get older, [you find that] you've piled up a huge amount of history. To trudge forward and do something that you hope will be historic and significant takes a lot more inertia. The last thing we can do at this stage is start to sound like a caricature of ourselves."
