Roadrunner Records geben einen weltweiten Vertragsabschluss mit CKY bekannt.

1998 von Deron Miller (Gesang/Gitarre), Chad I Ginsburg (Gitarre/Gesang) und Jess Margera (Schlagzeug), erschien 1999 das Debütalbum von CKY „Vol. 1“ auf dem Indie Label Volcom und wurde schließlich von Island Def Jam gesignt, wo 2001 dann „Infiltrate-Destroy-Rebuild“ erschienen ist. Drei Jahre später gefolgt von „An Answer Can Be Found“.

„CKY is a massively underrated band," so Roadrunner Senior VP A&R Monte Conner. „Everything about them screams unique, from Deron Miller's dark, melodic vocals and iconoclastic songwriting, to Chad I Ginsburg's cutting-edge production and mix techniques, to their one-of-a-kind guitar sound and rampant use of the Moog synthesizer. They simply sound like no other band I have ever heard. I've known Deron since he was a teenager and have been dying to work with CKY ever since I heard the stunning Infiltrate-Destroy-Rebuild album. I am honored to finally have the opportunity to do so, with such a forward-thinking band."

CKY arbeiten sehr engagiert mit und pflegen eine enge Beziehung zu ihren Fans, so haben sie über die Jahre über 9.500 Fragen in der „Ask CKY“ Abteilung der Seite beantwortet.

Nachdem im July 2005 Bassist Matt Deis die Band vervollständigte, begab man sich auf eine mehr als ausgedehnte Tour, die bis Ende August diesen Jahres andauerte. Nach einer notwendigen Pause, haben CKY gerade mit den Arbeiten am neuen Album begonnen.
