Bereits vor einiger Zeit verkuendeten FACE TO FACE aus Kalifornien ihre Rueckkehr zu Fat Wreck Chords. Am 4. Maerz erscheint mit "Protection" das erste FACE TO FACE Album seit ueber 20 Jahren auf dem Label von Fat Mike (NOFX). Die 11-Song starke Platte wurde in den Blasintg Room Studios von Bill Stevenson und Jason Livermore aufgenommen und ist die erste nicht selbstproduzierte der Punkrockband seit Jahren.

“This is the first time where [bassist] Scott [Shiflett] and I were willing to take a reduced role [in production]. We were laid back, open minded, and open to suggestions. Bill’s influence on the song arrangements and background vocals was key in giving the record the sound that it has.”
