FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND veröffentlichen am 25. September, unter dem Titel “Your History Is Mine,” ihr erstes Best-Of Album.
Neben einer “Hitsammlung” bestehend aus insgesamt zwölf Singles der bisherigen vier Alben und diverser EPs, beinhaltet “Your History Is Mine” zudem vier brandneue Studiotracks, inklusive der neuen Single “Wrench”. Diese neuen Stücke sind etwas Besonderes für die Band. Denn erstmals war hierbei der erst im letzten Jahr zur Band gestoßene Bassist Gavin Burrough im Songwriting- und Aufnahmeprozess vollständig involviert.
Dass die Trackauswahl für “Your History Is Mine” nicht einfach war, beschreibt Matthew Davies folgendermaßen: “It's been hard, whittling down the best of four albums and a bunch of EP's to come up with what we consider to be the best of our 'formative years'. We're still trying to rewrite the rock and roll music text book with everything we've done since then. It's been interesting to see just how many songs we've written that have affected both us and our audience over the last 7 and a half years and having them all in one place will be a good reflection of our music up to this point for newcomers and for old friends.”
