Tate Logan kommentiert:
“‘Don't Overdose and Drive’ is about a very good friend of mine, who I had grown up with my entire life. This individual become involved in drugs to a point where I found myself unable to be around this person and having to distance myself from their lifestyle to preserve my own. It was very sad because I cared so much for them and did everything I could to help, but it comes to a certain point where that person has to decide for themselves to get better. I wrote the song from an "I" perspective to be more relatable and reach a wider audience. At the end of the day, the message of the song is no matter how low you get, and how toxic the situation is, you can always get yourself out and come out on top”.
