LOCK UP, die aktuell aus AT THE GATES Frontmann Tomas Lindberg, Anton Reisenegger von PENTAGRAM und CRIMINAL an der Gitarre, NAPALM DEATH Bassist Shane Embury und ex-DIMMU BORGIR und TESTAMENT Drummer Nick Barker bestehen, wollen noch dieses Jahr ein neues Album veröffentlichen. Nächsten Monat geht die Band aber erst einmal ins Studio, um zusammen mit BRUTAL TRUTH eine Split seven-inch Single einzutrümmern.
Nick Barker sagt:"After very successful performance at the Damnation festival in Leeds last October, and after an eight-year haitus with almost a decade past since we last played in the U.K., LOCK UP have decided to write a new album and play selective dates (mostly festival appearances) throughout this year and 2011 in support of the new record.
"Although at this point it's still unclear which record label will pick up the band's third studio release, there is plenty of interest from a number of independent labels.
"I won't bore anyone with the usual spin of 'It's the best, heaviest or fastest material we've ever written,' but what I will say is the new material is totally relentless and very punishing, more so than our previous efforts... If brutal is your thing, then you will love it."
