THE RUN UP werden ihre neue EP "Scared of Everything", deren Erloese komplett an wohltaetige Zwecke in Nordfrankreich gehen, digital via Paper & Plastick veroeffentlichen und stellen mit dem Video zu "Feels Like Yesterday" bereits einen ersten Song daraus inklusive Videoclip vor.
Die Band zu den Hintergruenden der Spendenaktion:
"For a long time we as a band have been concerned by the growing number of migrants in Calais. We feel frustrated by the artificial borders that are preventing any meaningful fulfilment of their lives, not least for the reason that many are escaping conflict created or significantly contributed to by the governments that have erected the said borders.
We note from humanitarian sources that following a record number of arrivals across the Mediterranean to southern Europe in the last five months, the number of migrants in Calais has increased dramatically. Sources close to the ground such as the UNHCR Representative in France, Philippe Leclerc, have recorded that "despite the efforts of local groups, the living conditions of the migrants are absolutely appalling and this is provoking increased tensions among different communities of migrants and also with the local population."
We want to do anything that we can to ease the crisis. We propose raising funds to deliver food and temporary shelter to the region."
